 About Us

Seattle Suites rents individually owned residential properties at the Elektra Condominiums, next to the Washington State Convention Center and Freeway Park, for short term and extended stays.  Whether you are coming to Seattle for a three day convention or looking for six months temporary housing, we are here to help.  Regardless of length of stay all of our rentals are managed via lease agreements and follow Seattle's Landlord Tenant law.   We are not a hotel.   The Elektra is a predominantly owner occupied condominium complex where you will experience life like the locals.  

Located in the trendy Pike/Pine neighborhood and Central Business District our properties are steps from shopping, restaurants, theaters, museums and all major downtown attractions.   We are 8 blocks east of the Pike Place Market, next to the Washington State Trade and Convention Center, 4 blocks from the Westlake and Pacific Place Malls and near the Paramount, 5th Avenue and ACT theaters.   We are also conveniently located near most major medical centers including Virginia Mason, Swedish, Fred Hutchinson and Harborview.

Driving Directions to: The Elektra Condominiums, 1400 Hubbell Place, Seattle, WA.  98101

  • Heading North on I-5 (from the aiport):  Take the Madison street cutoff onto 7th Avenue, which turns into Hubbell Place once you cross over Seneca.   Follow Hubbell Place down the hill and around the corner.   You will see the Elektra on the right.
  • Heading South on I-5:  Take the Union street exit and turn right onto 7th avenue.   Turn right onto Pike.  Go about 3 blocks past the Convention Center and over the freeway overpass.   Take an immediate right onto Hubbell Place.   You'll see the Elektra on the left.

Parking:  Secure garage parking is available at $20 per day up to $180 per month.   Our parking spaces will accommodate small to medium sized cars, up to about the size of a small min-van.   Suburbans, Expeditions, pickup trucks, cargo and large passenger vans will not fit.   There are options nearby at the Convention Center for oversized parking if that is needed.

Car Rental:  If you are staying in the downtown area, keeping a car may not be necessary as local transportation is convenient and plentiful.   There is a Hertz Rental Car Agency a couple blocks away if you are interested in renting a car for a day trip out of town. Hertz Rental Car Website

From the airportLight Rail is available from the airport Seattle Transit Website.   However, Shuttle Express will bring you right to the door.   It's a great option for getting to and from the airport.   You can find them at Ground Transportation at the airport.   Advance reservations are not necessary but may be a good idea of you have a large party.   Contact them at Shuttle Express Website. 

Local Transportation:   We are 5 blocks from the Westlake Center where you will find the Light Rail station, Metro Bus tunnel and Monorail.   Metro Transit website.   From here you can get just about anywhere you need to go.   Jump on the Monorail to get to the Seattle Center and Key Arena in the lower Queen Anne neighborhood.   Take the Light Rail to the International District and Pioneer Square neighborhoods and you'll also find yourself across the street from the Sports Stadiums.  Bus service is a great way to get around the downtown core.   The service within downtown is free.   Just hop on a bus from the bus tunnel or any street stop going the direction you want to go and hop off when you get there.   At the Westlake Station you'll also find the South Lake Union Trolley which will take you through Belltown to Lake Union.  South Lake Union Trolley Website.   Of course, the best way to see Seattle is on foot and you will find many of Seattle's major attractions within easy walking distance.

Groceries:  There are a number of options nearby.   Clay's Market, a quick convenience store is a block away.  A major grocery and drugstore center (QFC and Bartell's) is 6 blocks up Pike.   They will have everything you need.  In South Lake Union you'll find the Whole Foods Market.   You might also want to consider a grocery delivery service.   We love Amazon Fresh  Amazon Fresh Website.   Don't forget that it's a short walk to our famous Pike Place Market where you will find fabulous fresh seafood, meats, fruits and vegetables, spices, flowers and other amazing items.   It's definitely worth a visit to help stock up for the fabulous dinner in you're planning.

Laundry FacilitiesWe do not have washer/dryers in the condos.  There is a large coin operated laundry facility on the 2nd floor of the building. 

Utilities:  Your rent includes all basic utilities including Cable and free WIFI.  We do not provide local phone service as most of  our tenants rely on their own cell phones.  Local phone services can be set up by the tenant or we can refer you to businesses the rent temporary cell phones for use during your stay.

Concierge Services:  There is a concierge at the front desk to help with mail and dry cleaning services.  

Elektra Staff:  Please note that the Elektra staff does not work for Seattle Suites and cannot help you with check-in, parking or other issues related to your rental.   Please contact Doug or Becki should questions arise during your stay.

Becki and Doug are your hosts at Seattle Suites.  We are a small family run  business dedicated to providing the personal service and accommodations that will help you love Seattle as much as we do.   If there is anything we can do to make your stay in Seattle a more pleasant one please feel free to ask.   We check email and voicemail frequently and will follow up with you asap.

 










We are located next to the Washington State Convention Center and Freeway Park.  I-5 runs under the Convention Center so contrary to the appearance on the map, we are NOT sitting on top of the freeway.
